As part of our Global Customer Experience organization, the Renewals team plays a critical role in ensuring long-term customer continuity, recurring revenue predictability, and smooth contract governance across markets. As a Renewals Specialist, you will own the operational execution of customer renewals in a predominantly auto-renew environment, managing timelines, exceptions, and risk with precision. Working closely with Customer Success, Contracts Administration, Finance, and Legal, you will ensure renewals are accuratetimely, and aligned — enabling EQS to deliver a predictable, trustworthy customer experience at scale.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you will: 

  • Manage the renewal lifecycle for a defined portfolio of auto-renewing customerensuring timely confirmations, data accuracy, and coordination across stakeholders.
  • Oversee exceptions to the auto-renew process — including cancellations, term adjustments, price changes, and multi-year amendments — ensuring compliance with internal approvals.
  • Project-manage the renewal timeline, ensuring customer outreach, internal reviews, CPI updates, legal checks, and billing readiness occur on schedule.
  • Identify at-risk customers early, collaborate with Customer Success to address concerns, and intervene before the auto-renewal date when needed.
  • Drive growth where appropriate by positioning add-ons, upgrades, and packaging improvements aligned to customer needs.
  • Maintain renewal accuracy in Salesforce, ensuring dates, values, and contract structures reflect the true commercial state.
  • Partner closely with ContractsAdministration, who will prepare and validate all renewal paperwork, quote adjustments, and billing setup changes.
  • Support forecasting discipline, providing reliable renewal projections and visibility into risk and opportunity across your portfolio.
  • Contribute to the evolution of renewal frameworks, including automated workflows, customer communication templates, and exception-handling processes.

THIS IS YOU

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured, operationally disciplined environment and enjoys leading commercial processes end-to-end with precision and customer empathy. 

What You Know 

  • 2–4 years of experience in renewals, account management, or quote-to-cash operations in SaaS or a subscription-based business.
  • Experience operating in auto-renewal environments or other recurring revenue models.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, GRR, NRR) and how renewal outcomes drive financial performance.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and structured renewal pipelines, with the ability to maintain clean, accurate data.
  • Working knowledge of contract terms, CPI adjustments, notice periods, and approval workflows.
  • Fluency in English and German(C1/C2)

How You Collaborate 

  • You work seamlessly with Customer Success on customer sentiment and exceptions, and with Contracts Administration on paperwork readiness.
  • You partner closely with Finance and Legal to ensure all pricing, terms, and approvals are aligned before auto-renew triggers.
  • You communicate clearly across stakeholders — ensuring no surprises on renewal timelines, risks, or outcomes.
  • You elevate team performance by sharing insights, flagging process gaps, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
