Do you enjoy owning the employee lifecycle and being a trusted contact for employees and managers on People Operations, employee relations, and day-to-day HR topics? As our People Operations Specialist DACH, you will be part of an international People Operations setup where each specialist acts as the trusted expert for their country scope. You will be responsible for People Operations across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with Germany representing the largest employee population and operational scope. You will also help shape how we work by using AI to cut manual work, improve quality, and speed up recurring tasks.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you will make sure People Operations runs smoothly across DACH, with a strong focus on Germany as the largest employee population. You will combine hands-on HR operations, employee and manager guidance, HRIS ownership, documentation quality, and continuous improvement.
  • You will manage the employee lifecycle across DACH, including preboarding, onboarding, contract changes, internal transfers, promotions, leave topics, and offboarding.
  • You will be a trusted contact for employees and managers, providing clear guidance on People Operations, employee relations, benefits, and day-to-day HR questions.
  • You will prepare and manage HR documentation, including employment contracts, amendments, certificates, confirmations, and other lifecycle documents.
  • You will maintain accurate employee data in our HRIS and support reliable reporting for the DACH scope.
  • You will ensure that labour law requirements, internal policies, and compliance standards are reflected correctly in daily People Operations work.
  • You will coordinate payroll-related topics where they connect to employee lifecycle changes, working closely with the colleagues who mainly manage payroll.
  • You will use AI and automation to reduce manual work, improve documentation quality, and make recurring People Operations tasks easier to scale.
  • You will contribute to process improvements, templates, playbooks, and scalable ways of working across our international People Operations setup.

THIS IS YOU

Must have

  • You have 3–6 years of experience in People Operations, People Administration, HR Operations, or a similar role.
  • You bring strong practical knowledge of German labour law and know how to apply it to employee lifecycle topics and day-to-day HR operations.
  • You are confident in supporting employees and managers with clear, pragmatic, and service-oriented guidance.
  • You have experience with HRIS systems and care about clean data, accurate documentation, and reliable execution.
  • You work independently, take ownership of your scope, and handle confidential or time-sensitive topics with care.
  • You are fluent in German and confident in English.
  • You are curious about AI and automation and use digital tools to improve productivity, quality, and process consistency.

Nice to have

  • You have experience with People Operations topics in Austria and/or Switzerland.
  • You have worked in an international or matrix organization before.
  • You have experience improving HR processes, creating templates, or documenting workflows.
  • You bring a degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Labour Law, or a comparable qualification.
